Unfinished Objects (UFOs)

I have been hand quilting a UFO throw I pieced and sandwiched several years ago.  Awhile back I stalled in the quilting but found new vigor a couple of weeks ago.  By this time next week I hope to be binding it.  Just as I was feeling triumphant and almost caught up with one of my crafts…..voila!  Buried in a bin I was digging in yesterday I found yet another pieced quilt top that fell by the wayside years ago.  Periodically I have wondered what ever happened to those squares…….now I know.  So the top is sitting folded a few feet away from me.  It’s a double bed size sampler with a different pattern for each block in greens and purples. At least I still like the blocks and the colors.  But I may just tie this one.  That somehow feels like cheating but sometimes expediency is where it’s at.

Weaving With Cats

I'm a longtime weaver who sews my own clothing. More recently, I learned how to to knit, spin my own yarn, dye, felt, bead & more. My recent claim to fame is my spiral motif rigid heddle Mermaid Scarf on the Nov/Dec 2015 cover of Handwoven magazine. I have an eight shaft floor loom, eight shaft table loom, rigid heddle loom, inkle loom, backstrap loom, a pack of cards for card weaving, and a vintage tiny rigid heddle Weave Easy Hand Loom. Occasionally I will post about other crafts I make, especially ones involving sea shells. I belong to many Facebook weaving, spinning, dyeing & knitting groups. My two kitties Pablo and Sasha are littermates. My sister rescues homeless cats in San Diego and my sweet kitties were born at just the right time for me to adopt them. They enjoy my fiber arts endeavors as much as I do.
