One of Those Weeks……..

….when time just flies even more than usual.  Too much non-crafty stuff.  Have some of my yarn singles plied but no pics yet.  Instead have been doing things like planting vegetable and flower seeds to sprout in the greenhouse, signing up for Medicare supplement policies, committee meetings, committee paperwork, and extended phone conversations with my nephew and my former sis-in law (it was way too long since I spoke with either of them).

And today was a vet appointment 2 towns north for one of my best buddy dogs Lila, a silky terrier soon to be 10 years old.

ImageShe’s OK but had some dental surgery a couple of weeks ago and has healed nicely.  One of my other dogs is Fergus the sweetest scottie terrier you would ever want to meet.

ImageHe is 11 years old and needs a trim right now.  My third dog is afraid of the camera.  he is a handsome male silky named Spencer and is brother to Lila.  Together they make quite a pack!

Weaving With Cats

I'm a longtime weaver who likes to weave fabric for clothing. More recently, I learned how to to knit, spin yarn, dye, felt, bead & more. My spiral motif rigid heddle Mermaid Scarf appeared on the cover of the Nov/Dec 2015 issue of Handwoven magazine. I invented the freeform overshot weaving technique with which I wove my Mermaid Scarf. I sell weaving patterns and instructional booklets in my Etsy shop. Visit my Facebook page Lisa Rayner Handwovens. Join my Facebook group Weave Along With Lisa Rayner for weaving instruction and inspiration. You'll also find Lisa Rayner Handwovens on Tumblr, Twitter and Instagram. I like complex patterns, hand dyed yarns, high quality fibers and customers who want me to make them something special. I am not a production weaver. All items are custom made.
